TOLEDO, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - From Friday night on Sept 14. through Sunday, Sept. 16, the Ohio Department of Transportation will alter traffic on portions of I-475 East in Toledo. This includes reducing the interstate to one lane, closing ramps on and off the interstate, as well as blocking the interchange onto I-75.
This only affects I-475 East. A similar project will take place on I-475 West in October.
The purpose of the work this weekend is to switch traffic from the inside lane to the outside lane, so the widening project can continue.
Reduced to One Lane
Beginning on Friday at 9 p.m. and lasting through Sunday, I-475 East will be reduced to one lane between Monroe Street and I-75.
Ramps on and off I-475 East
Douglas Road Ramp - Beginning on Friday at 8 p.m. through Sunday, the ramp from Douglas Road to I-475 East will be closed. The detour is to take Monroe Street to Secor Road to I-475.
ProMedica Parkway Exit - At 9 p.m. Friday, the ramp from eastbound I-475 to ProMedica Parkway/Central Avenue (Exit 19) will be closed for approximately three hours until midnight Saturday. The detour is to take Secor Road to Central Avenue.
Effective Saturday at midnight through Sunday, the ramp from I-475 East to I-75 North will be closed. The detour is to take I-75 South to the Detroit Avenue exit (203B). Then take I-75 North.
