TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) - Two robbery suspects were arrested and charged Sunday after leading police on a chase through part of Tiffin.

Lt. Aaron Russell of the Tiffin Police Department said police received a report Sunday evening that suspects from an earlier aggravated robbery at Circle K in Fostoria were at Heritage IGA in Tiffin.

When police arrived at the store, the suspects were sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot. As police approached the suspects' vehicle, the pair took off, leading police on a chase into downtown Tiffin, according to the lieutenant.

"They failed to stop for lights and sirens," said Russell.

After a brief pursuit, the suspect vehicle came to a stop after it crashed into several vehicles that were stopped at the intersection of Washington and East Perry streets. The accident disabled the pair's vehicle and they were immediately arrested and placed into custody.

All vehicles involved in the crash sustained extensive damage but no injuries were reported.

Brian A. Steward, 32, of Fostoria, has been charged with felony fleeing and eluding, which is a felony charge, failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension, reckless operation, having fictitious plates, possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to aggravated robbery. He also was charged with retaining stolen property for having stolen checks in his possession.

According to Russell, those checks had been used at IGA, and Steward faces additional charges of uttering, forgery and theft.

Robyn Lundy, 31, of Fostoria, has been charged with aggravated robbery.

"These people were involved in a dangerous crime spree involving robbery, theft, OMVI, drugs, and additional crime, which stemmed into the cities of Fostoria and Tiffin. I was glad to see that both suspects were apprehended with no one getting seriously injured. And both are presently incarcerated in the Seneca County Jail facing serious crimes," said Det. Chuck Boyer with the Tiffin Police Department.
