TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A television crew from the hit FOX show Cops has been in the Glass City filming with the Toledo Police Department for its 25 season.

Cops has been on the air for 23 years and has filmed in over 100 cities.

"Everywhere we go, it's amazing, every city has it's own nuances.  But it's also a lot the same.  We're talking about the problems everyone has in their everyday lives," said associate producer Mike Bryan.

Mike Bryan and Chris Kupeli from Texas have been riding with the men and women of TPD for eight weeks.

"We never know where we're going to ride until we show up to work, and go to briefing and find out who we're riding with that day," said Bryan.

Bryan has been shooting for Cops for 10 years.  Bryan said he never gets tired of wild ride his job takes him on.

"Everyday something is shocking or surprising to you.  You never know what's going to happen. That's why we keep doing it, there's always something that you say, wow, I thought I'd seen it all.  And then something like that occurs," said Bryan.

Cameras from Cops have been in nearly 150 US cities. The camera has captured everything from wild chases to alligators in the street.  Bryan and Kupeli said a lot of footage is left on the cutting room floor.

"We look for the beginning, middle and ending of one call.  It's not a conglomeration of the entire time we're in a city. And it's a lot of luck for us to be able to capture that. That's why we like to be first on scene or a close second," said Bryan.

The crew says out a week of filming they may only get one complete story. Being in Toledo has allowed them to the full story of what the men and women of this department mean to the city.

"You know, police officers have a very interesting job.  I think one of the things to remember is that they are people also. They are just regular people like you and I, they just have extraordinary jobs. I would say the city of Toledo is in good hands," said Bryan.

The crew says the episodes filmed in Toledo should air between May and July of 2013.
