This Sunday is the Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure day. Close to 20,000 people will gather downtown to celebrate and support breast cancer survivors and to raise money to continue the search for a cure.
The race for the cure is the signature event of northwest Ohio. Each year the crowds grow larger. Each year participants take a few hours out of their lives to express hope, care and love. The Race for the Cure is so special that WTOL will once again dedicate 2 hours to cover it live.
If you haven't signed up to participate, do so. If you are undecided, make up your mind to be there. It is an exhilarating morning that I promise will make you feel good. Some Sunday's are special and this Sunday is one of them. So, grab the kids, or a friend and go.

For many people Memorial Day is all about opening the swimming pool, picnics, golf and long weekends. I hope you take a moment this Memorial Day and appreciate all that you have because someone else was willing to give all that he had.
