South Toledo fire leaves 4 homeless

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Four people are homeless after a fire at an apartment building on Western Avenue near Hiett Road in south Toledo.

Firefighters tell us that there were not any life-threatening injuries, but one woman was treated for asthma.

The building used to hold three apartments, one of which was vacant.

Firefighters report there is heavy damage on the inside.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but investigators say it is possible it had to do with some kind of electrical issue.
