TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A job fair will be held Tuesday at Meijer. Meijer is looking to hire about 200 people both for the holiday season and permanent employees.
The job fair will be held at the Meijer on Central Ave. from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Managers will be recruiting for five different stores in the area.
Meijer is looking to fill all types of positions. Potential employees can fill out an application online before the job fair or fill out one at the fair Tuesday.
Store Directors say the need for employees right now is much higher than it was last year.
"It's been a great year for Meijer overall and the retail industry I think is picking up so this year we are able to put on a lot more people than we have in the past so we will be hiring seasonal people as well as permanent people," said John Ellis, store director.
The store director said they are looking for friendly people. Pay will depend on experience and the position.
