TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) – Three men accused of obstructing justice appeared in court Tuesday. Their charges stem from a shooting that killed a toddler back in August.
Proceedings in court were quick and to the point. The judge set a trial date of Nov. 14 for Antwaine Jones, 18, James Moore, 20, and Keshawn Jennings, 20.
All three men were in court Tuesday morning, after being accused of obstruction of justice in connection with the Moody Manor shooting that killed 1-year-old Keondra Hooks and seriously injured her 2-year-old sister, Leondra. Police say the men lied about being at the complex the night of the shootings.
So far, no one has been charged with the actual shooting in this case. However, the state says it is still trying to gather enough evidence to bring murder charges against the trio.
Jones, Moore and Jennings remain free Tuesday afternoon after posting bond.
