PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) - Randy T. Linn, the man accused of intentionally setting a fire at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo on Sunday, was arraigned on the charges in Perrysburg Municipal Court Wednesday.
Linn was transferred to Perrysburg Township Police Wednesday from Fort Wayne, IN where he was arrested Tuesday. Linn was arraigned on two counts of aggravated arson, aggravated burglary and carrying a concealed weapon. Linn's bond was set at $400,000. He is currently being held in the Wood County Jail.
The center was forced to close its doors while repairs are made. Representatives say they are glad an arrest was made, but are still trying to rise above the hatred left behind.
"The individual can set fire to the mosque, but not to our spirit. We are going to be strong and move on, and this will be behind us very soon," said Dr. Mahjabeen Islam.
Meanwhile, the center has made arrangements to reschedule events and have classes resume at Owen's Community College's Arrowhead Campus Monday.
Wood County jail said Linn is scheduled to make a court appearance at Perrysburg Municipal Court Thursday morning at 8am.
