Paul Ryan Speaks at Toledo Express Airport
Before Ryan spoke at the campaign event at Toledo Express Airport, the crowd of hundreds watched a video of Mitt Romney, including him speaking live in Virginia.
Ryan's speech started just after noon and opened with remarks about national defense, saying President Obama's foreign policies have failed. He then moved on to discuss the economy, energy and debt.
Ryan's overarching message was leadership. He said Obama's leadership in economic and foreign affairs has led to the unemployment and unrest the country sees now. He stated the president is not doing enough about the country's growing national debt.
"That is not leadership. That's what politicians do, and on November the 6th, we're going to elect a leader, Mitt Romney, to deal with this problem and take on this debt crisis before it gets out of our control," said Ryan.
Now that the election is less than a month away, Ryan is hoping his message hits home with voters.

The Lucas County treasurer held a news conference Monday morning in support of President Obama discussing how he disagrees with Ryan's belief that the auto rescue was wrong.
