GROTON TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) - The Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on state Route 4 at Strecker Road in Groton Township.

John M. Klish, 88, of Mansfield, was traveling westbound on Strecker in a Ford Explorer. Robin Reaves, 40, of Tiffin, was traveling northbound on SR 4 in a Subaru Outback. Klish failed to yield at a stop sign and his vehicle was struck on the left front side by Reaves. Both vehicles then went off the northwest side of the intersection, coming to rest in a field.

Klish was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash but was pronounced dead at the scene by the Erie County Coroner.

Reaves was also wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and received incapacitating injuries. She was transported to a Toledo hospital by Life Flight.

The crash remains under investigation.
