MADISON TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) - A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning around 9:30 on U.S. Route 20A at the intersection of state Route 15 in Madison Township. The crash occurred five miles north of Montpelier.
Jason Saneholtz, 39, of Montpelier, was driving his Ford pickup truck northbound on SR 15. Travis Estep, 35, of Angola, IN, was driving an International tractor/trailer combination eastbound on US-20A and failed to stop at the stop sign. He struck Saneholtz's vehicle broadside, sending both vehicles off the northeast side of the intersection. Saneholtz hit a power pole before coming to a stop.
Saneholtz was pronounced dead at the scene by Williams County Coroner, Dr. Kevin Park.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
Charges are pending upon consultation with the Williams County Prosecutor's Office. The crash remains under investigation.
