FOSTORIA, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Fostoria family that lost its home in a fire Wednesday night is being aided by the American Red Cross.
Red Cross disaster workforce volunteers responded to the home on County Line Road just after 9:30 p.m. and assessed the needs of the family, which consists of a mother and three children ages 2, 4 and 9.
The Red Cross provided assistance for food, clothing, shoes and seasonal jackets, as well as personal comfort kits with hygiene items for the family. It also gave stuffed animals to the children.
The family is currently staying with relatives.
Red Cross volunteers will continue to work with the family to provide additional assistance as needed, plus resources and information to help with their recovery.
