ST. LOUIS (Toledo News Now) - A University of Toledo Medical Center student was shot during a robbery in St. Louis Wednesday, school officials say.
According to a letter sent by Jeffrey Gold, M.D. with the University of Toledo, fourth-year medical student Halley Briglia, 27, suffered a gunshot wound during a robbery Wednesday morning while she was on her way to her neurology visiting rotation at Washington University in St. Louis.
She is currently in critical condition at a hospital in St. Louis.
Briglia is from Erie, PA. Her family members say they are grateful for the support from family and friends.
