
TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A senior storekeeper with the city of Toledo's Division of Water Distribution resigned Thursday, according to Toledo Mayor Mike Bell's office.
John Morin was scheduled for a disciplinary hearing Wednesday but instead stepped down from his position.
Morin was charged with stealing city funds and property. His seven administrative charges include:
-Theft of city time
-Theft of city funds
-Theft of city property
-Theft in office
-Gross misconduct
-Personal use of city equipment
-Unauthorized break
He was suspended without pay back on Sept. 28.
Police say a criminal investigation will continue.
