SPENCER TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 5:50 p.m. Thursday on Fulton-Lucas Road and Frankfort Road in Spencer Township.
Catherine Lee, 70, of Wauseon, was driving a Buick Century westbound on Frankfort Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at Fulton-Lucas Road. She was then struck by Dennis Ronski, 43, of Swanton, who was driving a Saturn Vue northbound on Fulton-Lucas Road. Both vehicles came to rest in a field on the northwest side of the intersection.
Lee's back-seat passenger Janet Lee, 43, of Maumee, was ejected out the rear window. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Catherine Lee was wearing a seatbelt and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to a Toledo hospital by LifeFlight.
Ronski and his passenger Dawn Ronski, 42, of Swanton, were both wearing their seatbelts. They were treated at the scene by Swanton Fire and EMS.
