Romney and Ryan stop in Cleveland on Election day

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney stopped in Cleveland Tuesday after voting in Massachusetts.  The event was not open to the public.

Mr. Romney and running mate Paul Ryan arrived at Cleveland Hopkins Airport ahead of schedule, emphasizing the importance of Ohio in this election.

The former Massachusetts governor has campaigned in Ohio more than in any other state.  Ohio's 18 electoral votes are a big prize, and no Republican has ever won the White House without a victory in the Buckeye State.

After Cleveland, he was heading to Pittsburgh before ending his day at a New Hampshire rally which includes a performance by Kid Rock.
