Cleveland State will be tobacco-free by next fall.
The University's Board of Trustees approved a policy to ban anyone on campus from using tobacco, including smokeless tobacco. That includes University parking lots, walkways and vehicles.
Exceptions will be granted with prior University permission.
Officials estimate over 4,000 staffers and students smoke.
