Demopulos, RA, SRA, President and Chief Corporate Appraiser of Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services and Jennifer Schnell, SRA, Senior Review Appraiser of Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services, are pleased to announce they will be speaking as part of a 2-hour, highly informative webinar hosted by the Appraisal Institute on December 12, 2012, at 1 p.m. ET (12 p.m. CT, 11 a.m. MT, 10 a.m. PT). The national webinar panel consists of 5 presenters who will discuss the various benefits of working with an AMC (Appraisal Management Company).
The webinar, titled “Working with an AMC: Finding Common Ground,” will provide an in-depth analysis of the many regulations which affect the appraisal industry, specifically as they pertain to the Dodd-Frank Act and its impact on appraisal management companies. The webinar will discuss both the AMC structure, operations and review process, as well as the AMC’s responsibility to a client; an independent appraiser's responsibilities to a client and an AMC; and the value of working with an AMC to handle increased client requirements. The webinar will also provide discussion about how AMCs can help educate, advocate for and improve relations with appraisers. Specific topics to be presented on are: The history of AMCs, The AMC Review Process, How to deal with underwriting requirements, AMCs - friends or foes, and Blacklisting.
Speaker Jennifer Schnell, SRA, Senior Review Appraiser of Lincoln Appraisal and Settlement Services, is a Certified Residential Appraiser and has been appraising since 1996. Jennifer joined Lincoln as a staff review appraiser after having worked with Lincoln for a number of years as an independent fee contractor. Jennifer lives and works in Rhode Island and serves as a Board Member on the Rhode Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
