Route 5 reopens after car crash

NORTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -

Route 5 in Northampton is now open after a two-car crash near the Oxbow Marina off Interstate 91.

That road was shut down for several hours after the accident happened around 5:30 p.m.

Police told CBS 3 there are injuries but they are not saying how severe the injuries are.  

The road blockage caused another crash in that area as well.

    Springfield police say a stabbing victim walked into Mercy Medical Center in the city around 7:30 Friday night.  Police believe the stabbing happened on Carew St. and detectives are headed there to investigate.  CBS
