Browns beat down Chiefs for third straight win

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Don't look now, but the Browns are heating up!  Despite an average day by Brandon Weeden, who threw for only 217 yards, and a below-average day for Trent Richardson, who ran for only 42, the Browns pulled away from the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, 30-7, for their third straight win, and 5th in their last 8 games.

Jamaal Charles stunned the Browns defense on the first play of the game, taking a handoff 80 yards to the house for a quick 7-0 lead.  But that was the only time the Chiefs could get to the end zone.

Richardson ran for two touchdowns, giving him nine for the season, tying Jim Brown's rookie record, and fellow rookie Travis Benjamin took a punt back 93 yards to set another club record, as the Browns slowly took control of the game.

Phil Dawson added three field goals to complete the scoring.

Brady Quinn was held to 159 yards passing in his return to Cleveland, while Peyton Hillis was held to 11 yards on five carries.
