Former Jackson High School freshman basketball coach, Scott Studer, has now been indicted by the Stark County Grand jury for allegedly recording students in the shower.
Former Jackson High School freshman basketball coach, Scott Studer, has now been indicted by the Stark County Grand jury for allegedly recording students in the shower.
Reporter Ed Gallek has uncovered new information on former Jackson High School coach Scott Studer. Studer is currently locked up in the Stark County Jail, accused of secretly recording students in the shower for 8 years.
A warning sign was sent nearly two years ago. An anonymous writer, claiming to be a former player under Studer, sent an e-mail to the schools in 2011, saying he had been molested by Studer 15 years ago.
The e-mail said the sex abuse happened during a sleepover at Studer's house. Records show the school district immediately told police, who then e-mailed the tipster, asking for additional details, but the tipster never responded.
Studer has been indicted on 8 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material. If convicted, he could be sentenced to 2-8 years in prison on each count.
