CANTON, OH (WOIO) -
Stark County Common Pleas Court Judge Frank Forchione denied a motion Thursday to lower the $5 million dollar bond for former Jackson High School freshman basketball coach Scott Studer. The judge also set a trial date of January 29, 2013.
Studer is accused hiding cameras in the boys locker room and recording students in the shower. Jackson Township Police say the secret periodic recordings went on for eight years.
Jackson Township Police have now identified 74 student athletes in those videos.
Studer has been indicted on 8 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material. If convicted, he could be sentenced to 2-8 years in prison on each count.
Parents say Studer, 46, mandated the showers and participated in them.
