Cincinnati's police chief held a press conference on Thursday to discuss safety measures in Tri-State schools.
Chief James Craig said he wants to build the "robust training effort" the police department already has in place, in effort to better respond to potential school shootings.
Craig said he plans to coordinate with Cincinnati Public Schools superintendent about additional crisis training for administrators and teachers at all school levels.
The press conference followed an elementary school shooting in Connecticut last Friday, which killed twenty students and six adults by a gunman, before killing himself.
