CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified Cleveland's first murder victim of 2013 as 42-year-old Nathan Brown.
Brown was fatally shot around 2:48 a.m. New Year's Day on Hilger Avenue.
Officers tell 19 Action News it appears the gunman kicked in the victim's front door and shot him before fleeing the scene.
The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in connection with this incident to contact the Homicide Unit at 216.623.5464. Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216.252.7463 or Text messaging to Text TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).
