Springfield police investigate body that fell from building roof

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Police are investigating the death of a man who fell from the roof of an apartment complex.

The body was found on Saturday around 11 a.m., but police said the man had been deceased for a while. They believe the incident likely happened overnight.

Capt. Cheryl Claprood told CBS 3 that the victim was found at the northeast corner of the building at 40 High St.

The detective bureau is currently investigating as to whether the death is crime-related or not.
