With the recent flu outbreak, the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department will be holding walk-in flu clinics for anyone who has yet to get their flu shot. Officials say this is one of the worst flu seasons in recent years and urge everyone to get vaccinated.
The clinics will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 until 6 p.m. each day at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department located at 635 N. Erie St.
The cost of an adult vaccination is $25. Children's vaccinations will vary depending on insurance.
Adults and children stopped in to get vaccinated Monday. On Friday, a 22-year-old Ohio college student died from flu complications.
As of Monday, more than 1,900 people across the state have checked into the hospital with the flu, which is why parents say they are not taking any chances.
A couple of hospitals are offering extra sanitizer and masks to visitors, but they have not put a limit on the number of visitors or age of visitors due to the outbreak.
