Perrysburg Township police are out on patrol enforcing a traffic blitz. Police will be on the lookout for traffic violators on U.S. Route 20, state Routes 795, 65, and 25, as well as Oregon Road.
The blitz is funded through a grant the police department received from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
Officers say the main goal of the blitz is to keep the streets of Perrysburg Township safe. They will be watching for speed violations, impaired drivers, seatbelt violations, plus distracted driving through cell phone use.
Officers will be working additional hours to enforce the traffic blitz, which began Sunday and will run through next Tuesday.
