TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Columbia Gas spokesperson confirmed that 89 customers in West Toledo lost their gas service Monday night.
The outage was caused by water getting into one of the company's gas mains. Customers near the Woodlawn Cemetery were affected.
Columbia Gas was not sure when they would be able to restore service, but they were able to fix the problem Monday evening.
Columbia Gas employees will begin going door-to-door to the affected homes by 9 p.m. Monday. They need to get into each home to restore service.
The American Red Cross asked residents in need of help to call 419-329-6060.
