Toledo candy store open during reconstruction after crash
TOLEDO, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Owner Pam Lloyd-Camp says her store will remain open for normal business hours during reconstruction.
A single-vehicle crash caused significant damage to Boyd's Retro Candy Shop in west Toledo.
Police say an SUV was driving on Sylvania Avenue at the intersection of Phillips just after 11:30 p.m. Monday. The driver crashed into a power box and a pole. The impact from the crash caused debris to hit the building.
Traffic lights were out for a short time. Barricades were put up to block off one lane of traffic.
The driver was conscious and talking while being transported to the hospital.
