Two Toledo men have been arrested after a shooting took place at a store downtown early Tuesday afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Toledo police responded to a call reporting gunshots in the 900 block of Madison.
Police say Joshua Gibson, 23, of Toledo, was near the store when he fired a round from a handgun into the front door of the Madison Market. Gibson and two other individuals fled the scene on foot.
After a description was released by police, area crews observed Gibson near the Lucas County Courthouse and tried to stop him, but Gibson fled. He was apprehended near Erie and Jackson after a short chase on foot downtown.
According to police, Gibson had concealed a .25 caliber handgun in the pocket of his shorts.
Gibson was taken into custody then transported to a hospital where he was treated for a non-life-threatening self-sustained head injury. He will be booked into the Lucas County Jail on both felony and misdemeanor charges.
Dorian Williams, 19, of Toledo, was also taken into custody. His involvement in the incident is still being investigated. He was arrested on unrelated misdemeanor warrants.
