
Students at Owens Community College worked alongside American Red Cross employees Tuesday at a blood drive on campus.TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) – Students at Owens Community College worked alongside American Red Cross employees Tuesday at a blood drive on campus.
The drive was staffed by students in the surgical technology and sterile processing classes. Students were able to learn more about the blood drive process and gain real-life experience. They said they run a blood drive every 56 days to gain hands-on experience.
"I'm learning about the different kinds of blood types and the need for donors and also volunteers to help through the process," said student Lisa Bollinger.
