HENRY COUNTY, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Liberty Center Schools dismissed just after 9 a.m. Wednesday after a leak was discovered in an outside natural gas meter. School is closed the rest of the day.
Parents who normally pick up their children as car riders need to make arrangements or call the office at 419-533-5011.
The gas company tested inside the classrooms and found no gas in the building. However, the egg smell remained. There was no danger to the students or staff, but the odor was causing discomfort.
The heat had to be shut down while the gas line is repaired.
The building will be aired out Wednesday and classes will resume Thursday.
