Jonathan Figueroa, 20, appeared in court Thursday on charges that he shot at a police cruiser in east Toledo.
He was charged with two counts of felonious assault on a police officer and one count of felonious vandalism against a government entity.
The incident happened at 3:30 in the afternoon Tuesday in the 1200 block of Starr Avenue near East Broadway Street. Two officers who were in the car say they heard a popping sound, then saw the passenger side window of the cruiser shatter. The officers were not hurt.
Officers say they saw a suspect running from the scene and pursued him, but the suspect got away. Figueroa was later arrested.
So far, no weapon has been recovered.
Bond was set at $300,000, and the next court appearance was scheduled for Jan. 24.
