Two little girls are getting closer to their dream of having a puppy. Tuesday, their dad told them they had to get one million likes on Facebook before he'd allow it.
Wednesday, they hit one million (and counting.)
And by Thursday, they were fielding requests from national morning talk shows, going on TV, and playing with, what else, puppies.
Note: Mom took to Facebook to explain that the puppies seen on TV were not theirs, and are up for adoption in New York.
It all started a few months ago when the family's dog died of cancer. After that, the parents were reluctant to dive into dog-ownership too soon. But their five children, lead by their two little girls, stayed persistent.
It only took 13 hours for them to achieve their goal. Now mom has taken over the family Facebook page, addressing their legion of new fans, and promising that Puppy Day is coming soon.
All because two persistent little girls wouldn't take no for an answer.
