Scrap yard fire keeps Toledo crews busy

TOLEDO, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - A fire in a scrap pile at the OmniSource scrap metal recycling facility in north Toledo kept crews busy much of Friday morning.

It was a stubborn fire because it was in a large pile that included metal. There was a lot of heat and areas kept re-igniting.

Toledo police closed the 5000 block of North Detroit Avenue at Laskey until late morning.
