A serious accident was reported in eastern Fulton County just after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials at the scene say two vehicles were involved in the accident, and believe one went through a stop sign. One vehicle went into a deep ditch, the other went through a yard and into bushes and trees.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says slick roads may have caused the crash.
The accident happened at County Road 3 and County Road D west of Whitehouse, OH.
All three people involved were transported to area hospitals by air ambulances. Officials say they are all in serious condition.
Officials are urging people to use caution when driving on potentially slippery roads.
"They need to slow down, make sure they give a safe distance...probably double the distance that you normally would when you're traveling behind other vehicles," said Lt. William Bowers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. "When you're approaching stop signs, you need to take caution and have extra distance."
Even in areas where it's not particularly icy, officials urge drivers to take it slow, because snow can also make it difficult to accelerate and stop safely.
