5 escape house fire in Wood County

RISING SUN, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) -

Two adults and three children were able to safely escape a house fire in Rising Sun, Ohio late Monday.

It happened around 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Main Street.  According to firefighters, heavy flames consumed the second floor and burned through the roof.

Several fire departments were on scene and eventually used foam to help put out the blaze.

Investigators have not yet released a cause.
