
Drew Danzy (SOURCE: Cleveland Police)Today Martin L. Flask, Director of Public Safety for the City of Cleveland, and Pete Elliott, U.S. Marshal for Northern Ohio, announced the arrest of a male wanted for escape.
The arrested male is 20-year old Drew Danzy of Cleveland.
Danzy who was in the Custody of the Division of Correction on an Aggravated Murder Warrant and a Contempt of Court Traffic Warrant was mistakenly released on December, 19, 2012.
The employee who erroneously set Danzy free was terminated after a disciplinary hearing held by Safety Director Martin L. Flask.
Today at 2:10 p.m., Cleveland Police Detectives and Agents of the U.S. Marshals Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Drew Danzy at W. 56th Street & Kouba Avenue on Cleveland's west side.
After a short foot pursuit Danzy was arrested and conveyed to County Jail.
