Ashfield accident under investigation

ASHFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Route 112 in Ashfield was closed Tuesday evening while state police investigated a bad accident that happened around 5:30 p.m.

State police told CBS 3 two cars were involved. Three people were trapped and seriously injured. They have been taken to a nearby hospital.

A 1995 Honda Accord and 2006 Chevrolet Colorado were the vehicles involved.

Goshen and Northampton fire departments were called to the scene.

    Springfield police say a stabbing victim walked into Mercy Medical Center in the city around 7:30 Friday night.  Police believe the stabbing happened on Carew St. and detectives are headed there to investigate.  CBS
