High winds cause power outage in Parma

PARMA, OH (WOIO) -

Representatives of the Illuminating Company have fixed a damaged utility pole near 11757 W. Pleasant Valley Road in Parma.

The pole was apparently damaged by high winds, cracked and caught fire.

Several residents did experience a power outage for several hours.

W. Pleasant Valley Road was closed for several hours, but reopened to traffic just before 2 p.m.
