19 Action News has learned how investigators are building their case against Camilia Terry, a mother suspected of killing her 3 year old son. And the evidence includes a mysterious trip to a child's clothing store.
Back in November, little Emilliano Terry was found dead in the trash. An autopsy showed multiple injuries from blunt force trauma. Investigators still don't know exactly how this mom may have killed her son or where, but we've learned of new evidence.
We noticed on court records, a child's clothing store at Tower City, so we went there. We've learned Terry is suspected of returning some boy's clothing in the days before her toddler was found dead.
The evidence list also shows video from a business steps away from a park near Shaker Square. Mom first told police her son had been kidnapped from that park.
The records also indicate investigators have written and recorded statements from Camilia Terry. We've already revealed she gave police conflicting stories.
Of course DNA evidence is listed too, as well as an Internet posting, Camilia Terry was exploring putting her three year old up for adoption days before she got arrested for murder.
Cuyahoga County Prosecutors also refer to a letter Terry sent to 19 Action News from jail. She denied hurting her child, but she never wrote about how much she loved him.
