Easthampton man arrested for assault with baseball bat

NORTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -

An Easthampton man was arrested Saturday night for beating a Northampton man with a baseball bat.

CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican reported that Patrick McCarthy, 47, is charged with the alleged assault.

Police say the victim was taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital with injuries to his head and arms.

McCarthy is expected to be arraigned in Northampton District Court on Monday.
