PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Baseball is being taken to a whole new level with the MLB's Fan Cave contest. One Perrysburg woman is a finalist to live there and watch every baseball game of the season.

More than 10,000 people have applied. Now it is narrowed down to 52.

Kate Longenecker started her audition video with the theme song from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but changed the words to, "In west Philadelphia, born and raised. On the playground is where I spent most of my days. Kate in her house, chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool, and shooting some b-ball outside the school..."

Longenecker has a big personality and has an even bigger passion for the Philadelphia Phillies.

"[In my family it goes from] generation to generation that just loves the Phillies. They're always on TV. They're always on the radio. So just growing up in that environment has just made me the way I am," explained Longenecker.

Longenecker's audition video made her a finalist to win a spot in the MLB Fan Cave.

"I haven't slept in, in...since I found out, because I just can't stop thinking about it. And I just want it SO bad at this point. I would - I mean, I would just freak out! I've already told people, I'm already fully planning on going. It's just one of those things where I'm so ready for it to happen," said Longenecker.

It has been a long process, but Longenecker says she and this competition go together like ball and glove.

"You're surrounded by baseball 24/7. And just to actually get to share that experience with other people. I mean, it just seems like such a cool experience. To meet those baseball players in person. I watch baseball all summer anyway. So why not do it in New York City?" said Longenecker.

To go all the way, Longenecker needs people to go online and vote for her.

"I moved here to work for the Toledo Mud Hens and the Toledo Walleye. And I'm just such a passionate sports person in general. So you're not just voting for a Phillies fan, you're voting for someone from Perrysburg who lives here, who loves your teams just as much as you do, and is just as passionate about baseball and sports as you are," said Longenecker.
