St. John’s basketball coach arrested for drunk driving - ToledoNewsNow.com: News, Weather & Sports for Toledo, OH

St. John's Jesuit Head Basketball Coach Ed Heintschel was arrested for driving under the influence on November 26, 2012, according to the school.

The school says Heintschel was arrested in Maumee. St. John's says the incident did not happen during school hours, and that Heintschel was not on his way to or from a school activity.

"St. John's Jesuit is supportive of Mr.  Heintschel as he goes through this difficult period," the school said in a statement Friday.

Heintschel, who has worked for the school for more than 30 years, remains head basketball coach at St. John's.
