TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Nine people were arrested
after Toledo Police raided the Upton Bar and Grill in West Toledo.
Police have received
multiple complains of drugs being passed around inside the bar, and they made
their move just after midnight Friday.
Members of SWAT, the TPD
gang unit, and street patrols were all present to execute a search warrant.
They found 30 people, some in possession of marijuana and K2.
"These bars have to know:
If you're going to operate in an irresponsible manner like that, expect us to
come crashing through the door in the middle of the night and shut your bar
down," said Sgt. Joe Heffernan of TPD.
Nine people were arrested
and charged. Police said they also took nearly $1,000 worth of marijuana off
the streets with the bust.
