A 16-year-old Cleveland girl was fatally shot outside of her west side home early Friday morning.

Cops say a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody and they believe he was the victim's boyfriend. More >>
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
The 16-year-old boy accused in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl, appeared in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court on Monday.
The Judge ordered the teen to stay in the juvenile detention center. His next court date has not yet been set.
The boy is charged with murder in the Friday shooting death of Jennifer Zacarias. She was shot multiple times in her head and neck.@
The shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. Friday morning outside Zacarias's house at West 102nd Street and Thrush Avenue.
Cleveland Police say her father heard gunshots outside. After hearing the gunshots, he checked for her and found that she was not in her room. The father went outside to look for Jennifer, and found her in the backyard.
EMS rushed Zacarias to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she died.
Police and family say the teens did know each other.
