Waterville, OH -
A local organization is doing their part to
help those affected by the east-coast storm, but they are looking for help.
The ISOH/IMPACT organization is collecting
items to send to those in need.
"Things like food, shampoo, blankets, socks
and mittens," said ISHP/IMPACT President Linda Greene. "All of it will be
delivered to people in the northeast."
Leaders at ISOH/IMPACT said they're still
hoping to collect more, especially things to help keep people warm. They also
said they're in need of cash donations to help with transportation costs, and
volunteers to help pack the items up.
"We get phone calls back that say, ‘Thank
you, you came in at the right time,'" Greene said. "It's just about if you get
hurt or something happens to you and your family is in a crisis, then you're
just paying it back and moving forward."
Donations can be dropped off at
any Toledo area Tireman Auto Service Center or at ISOH/IMPACT's distribution
center located at 905 Farnsworth Rd. in Waterville, OH. There is a P.O.D.S.
container onsite at the Waterville location for 24/7 drop-offs. For large
scale corporate and manufacturing donations, please contact the ISOH/IMPACT
offices to make the necessary arrangements. Monetary donations can be made
online at www.isohimpact.org
or sent directly to the ISOH/IMPACT
offices at 25182 W. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
