The delays on Interstate 475 and Interstate 75 are getting longer during the overnight hours beginning Thursday, February 14.
While bridge work is being done as part of the I-475/I-75 upgrade project, lanes will close in both directions intermittently for up to 30 minutes. This will happen between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The locations at which this will happen include:
-I-475 in both directions between Douglas Avenue and Auburn Avenue
-The ramp from I-75 North to I-475 West
-I-75 South from Willys Parkway to Detroit Avenue
-Some city streets and ramps will also see restrictions
Ohio Department of Transportation officials expect the project to be complete by the fall.
Residents near the construction believe all the roadwork will be nice in the end and have a positive impact on Toledo. However, they wish it was a shorter process because they are tired of the inconvenience and lost drivers turning around in private driveways.
