Troopers bust man with weed, illegal prescription pills on turnpike

LORAIN COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -
A Pennsylvania man busted with drugs on the Ohio Turnpike in Lorain County.
Troopers stopped a 2008 GMC Yukon, with Pennsylvania registration, for speed and marked lanes violations Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. During contact with the driver, troopers detected an odor of marijuana. A probable cause search revealed two baggies and a pill bottle containing marijuana, and 776 illegal prescription pills, including Oxycontin and Opana. The contraband has an estimated street value of more than $7,000.
The driver, James William, 43, of North Wales, Pa., was incarcerated in the Lorain County Jail and charged with possession of a scheduled II substance and drug trafficking, possession of a dangerous narcotic and possession of marijuana.
