(Toledo News Now) -
1) The Medeco Deadbolt. A premium lock that's been recognized by
Consumer Reports as the best for years running. Everything - solid
steel. It's pick and drill resistant. And it goes for about $150 - $300.
2) The Schlage Deadbolt. McElheney called it a solid, reliable
lock, with an anti-pick shield to protect against tampering. It retails
for about $54.
3) The Kwikset. It retails for about $36, but McElheney tells WTOL 11 that it has a lot of good features included in
more expensive locks without the extra price. Those features include
side locking bar, and racks and pins for increased strength and
security.
